Abstract

After the migration to Medina, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) established an independent state. All the religions present in Medina agreed on this state. In this regard, an agreement was made which is remembered as the Covenant of Medina. Through this agreement, the people living in Medina were given the rights that an independent nation should have. This agreement also stipulated that if any outside nation attacked Medina, then in such a case, all the people would defend it without any distinction of religion. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prepared a regular army for defense. Every Muslim who was capable of fighting was included in this army. They were given regular training for war. In these exercises, they were taught how to use weapons in a better way. During the time of the Prophet, some war exercises were also conducted in the Prophet's Mosque. Only those who were Muslim, sane and adult men were recruited into the army. In this regard, not only the height and strength of the men were also looked at, but also the permission of the parents was given great importance. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would entrust military leadership only to those who were qualified for it. Women were taken along in the army for needs. In this regard, they would bandage the wounded, give water to the Mujahideen and do other such things. But some women would also join regular fighting when necessary. The above teachings make it clear that it is necessary for all Islamic countries to have weapons according to the requirements of the modern era, that the armies should be trained for war according to modern requirements, that only those people who are capable of fighting should be recruited into the army, that sensitive positions should not be assigned to non-Muslims, that efforts should be made to make the Islamic borders safer and more secure, that relations with neighboring countries should be improved, that the spy system should be developed using modern methods, and that positions should be given only to qualified candidates. In this article, a research study of the strategies adopted to achieve military stability in the light of the biography of the Prophet (peace be upon him) has been presented so that guidance can be obtained from it in the present era.
