Abstract

The Prophetic biography (Sirah al-Nabawiyyah) provides a fundamental framework for the idea of national unity founded on moral leadership, fairness, and inclusivity. The foundation for harmonious social and political integration was established by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in an Arabian culture that was divided by tribalism, strife, and inequity. He created the Constitution of Madinah, which brought together several tribes and religious communities—Muslims, Jews, and pagan people—under a common civic identity while upholding religious liberties and reciprocal duties, making his relocation to Madinah a significant turning point. The Prophet established principles like social solidarity, fraternity, and reconciliation via his teachings and leadership. These ideals went beyond tribal allegiances and established the framework for a single Ummah. The Prophet's life serves as an example of the transforming power of moral and spiritual leadership in fostering national unity, and this concept offers timeless lessons for today's multicultural countries.
